Minecraft PE 1.6.1 – What’s New?
With the release of this version, players will have to confront one more new evil spirits – phantoms . In addition, there are now barriers in Minecraft 1.6.1. These are invisible blocks, through which it is impossible to pass.
Barrier
The only new block in Minecraft PE 1.6.1. Barriers are especially useful for map builders. Their main advantage is that they are invisible and cannot be broken in survival mode . To see the barrier, you need to pick up this block.
You can get this block using the / give @s barrier command.
Phantom
The main part of the innovations in Minecraft 1.6.1 is associated with this particular mob. Phantoms have bright and green eyes , due to which they are clearly visible in the dark. They appear at night if the player has not slept for more than three in-game days. They dive at the player, then inflict damage and take off back.
TIP: It is recommended to kill phantoms with a bow, as it is extremely difficult to do it with a sword in Minecraft PE 1.6.1.
Slow Fall Potion
An extremely useful potion that can save lives in the most difficult situations in Minecraft PE 1.6.1. Falling Slow Potion slows fall speed and completely disables ground hitting damage . This allows you to change your location right when you fall, which is somewhat reminiscent of flight.
This item is especially useful in the Nether of MCPE 1.6.1, as there players often fall into lava.
Phantom Membrane
This item appeared along with phantoms in Minecraft 1.6.1. The phantom membrane falls from phantoms when they are killed and nothing more.
