Minecraft PE 1.4.2 – What’s new?
This update is called “ Aquatic Update” , which means “Water Update”. Naturally, we will talk about new sea creatures, biomes, as well as objects and properties of water.
This is only the first part of the water update.
Biomes
This update has supplemented the aquatic world of minecraft with several new biomes at once: corals, frozen oceans, kelp, and this is not the whole list.
Corals
While sailing on a boat in Minecraft Pocket Edition 1.4.2, you may notice whole frozen oceans, icebergs . If you look down at the seabed, you will often notice colorful plants there – corals . These types of plants can be great for decorating your home.
Kelp
Also, often in Minecraft PE 1.4.2 there will be green long plants, the name of which is Kelp . You can even cut down these plants with your hand. After drying them in the oven and getting dried kelp , you can use them as food.
FACT: Dried kelp has the fastest eating speed in the game.
Sunken ship
The last new generation in Minecraft 1.4.2 is sunken ship . It can be very useful to you, as you can find from 1 to 3 chests on it, the loot in which depends on the location of the chest.
For example, a chest found in a hold usually contains food, and in the upper part of the stern – all kinds of valuable resources. The third chest can be located in the captain’s cabin.
A chest located in the captain’s quarters contains a treasure map to help you find buried treasure.
Mobs
The underwater update in Minecraft PE 1.4.2 also affected mobs. The developers from Mojang added dolphins, tropical fish, salmon and blowfish to the game. By the way, the latter should be beware , as it can poison you.
Other changes in Minecraft 1.4.2
- a a trident that can be thrown from a long distance has been added to the game;
- in MCPE 1.4.2, pumpkins appear in their natural form without a face;
- from now on, discarded items float in the water and do not sink.
