What’s new in Minecraft 1.18.0.24?
The next Minecraft update 1.18.0.24 brought a lot of interesting things to the game. Rolling blocks have arrived in the cube world, despite the fact that the “dark depths” biome does not yet exist.
We’ve also added a new dark effect, which greatly impairs the user’s visibility.
Additionally, players can evaluate other added items using the Experimental Vanilla Mode.
Experimental Vanilla Mode
The developers of Mojang Studios in the new version of Minecraft PE 1.18.0.24 have added an experimental vanilla mode. You can enable it in the world creation menu.
This mode activates some items such as rolling blocks and goat’s horn, and enhances existing ones.
The developers created this mode so that users could choose for themselves – to play with unstable objects or with normal ones.
Darkness
Also in the new version of Minecraft 1.18.0.24 came a new effect “Darkness”.
It is applied if a user or a mob steps on a rolling shriker.
With this effect, the screen will be very dark, which makes the visibility almost equal to zero.
Skalk-blocks
In addition, in the new version of Minecraft PE 1.18.0.24, several types of rolling blocks have been added. There are two functional ones: shriker and katalist.
Shriker is capable of making a sound if a user or a mob steps on it. In doing so, it will impose a negative effect limiting visibility.
This block can be used to defend your base, because the player will be able to hear if someone approached his house.
In future versions, the Skalk Shriker will be able to summon Varden.
The Catalist, on the other hand, serves as a kind of “repository of experience.” If you kill any mob next to this block, then a rolling vine will grow at the place of death, and the experience gained will go into a new block.
Skalk-katalist is able to store an unrealistically large number of spheres in himself! To get all the accumulated experience, you need to break this block.
Other changes in MCPE 1.18.0.24
- Fixed worlds saved to device storage so that they should appear in the selection menu.
- Removed many bugs and crashes in Minecraft PE 1.18.0.24.
- The “old” world type can no longer be created.
